 • Kyrenia is a very touristic town on the northern coast of Northern Cyprus, sandwiched between the Girne Mountains and the warm waters of the Mediterranean.  It is home to beachfront hotels, restaurants and beach clubs, but is most famous for its old port and castle.  Kyrenia Castle at the eastern end of the old harbor is a magnificent sight.  The castle dates back to the Byzantine period and has served the Byzantines, Crusaders, Venetians, Ottomans and British.  Within its walls is a 12th-century chapel containing reused late Roman capitals and a shipwreck museum.  Also, Kyrenia is famous for its greenery.
 
 • 3. FAMAGUSTA
 • Famagusta is a charming city of approximately 50,000 people, located on the southeast coast of Northern Cyprus.  A city surrounded by roughly rectangular fortifications built by the Venetians in the 15th and 16th centuries.  Famagusta is an important commercial center of Northern Cyprus.  The main economic activities in the city are tourism, education, construction and industrial production.  It has a free port of 115 decares, which is the most important port of Northern Cyprus for travel and trade.
 • Famagusta Beaches
 • Famagusta (Ammochostos) is the 3rd largest city of Northern Cyprus.  The name 'Meaning Beneath the Sands' derives from its magnificent beaches.  These beaches are the most beautiful on the whole island and probably among all the Mediterranean countries.  The sand of the beach in this region is like silk and gold.  You will never be bothered to walk on them.  People prefer Famagusta beaches to Drive during their summer holidays.  Thousands of foreign investors and tourists visit the Famagusta region for its beaches.  Palm Beach, Glapsides Beach, Bedis' Beach, Silver Beach, Long Beach and Maras Beaches are the popular beaches of Famagusta.
 • Karpaz Beaches
 • This region is under protection due to historical sites, untouched beach beauties and wild Donkeys.  Famagusta Stlye Golden Sand beaches continue until the end of the Karpaz Peninsula.  Golden Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world, protected by the state.  You can visit there and swim all day.  Also, the small beaches of Bafra Beach, Kaleburnu Beach, Ayfilon Beach and Next Apostolos Andreas Monastery Drive are very popular on weekends and for swimming.
 • Kyrenia Beaches
 • Kyrenia region is one of the most visited cities of Northern Cyprus.  The region is full of 5-star hotels and Casinos, which are also the center of nightlife.  This area faces north and generally the beaches are less sandy and rocky.  However, since the Mediterranean is always shining and warm, these beaches are also very popular with tourists.
